Troopmaster is the database management software the troop uses to record and track your child's scouting career. The troop's advancement chair synchronizes it with Scouting America's (SA) Scoutbook Plus before every court of honor. All parents receive an invitation and should create an account to ensure every achievement is properly being recorded and awarded.

Scoutbook Plus is the website used by Scouting America (SA) to record and track your child's scouting career. This is the official record showing all the ranks and awards they've earned. All parents are invited to create an account. The Troop reports to and updates thIs site before each court of honor (CoH). If you have any questions about your scout's progress, please speak with the Advancement Chair.

My.Scouting.Org is the website for parents and adult leaders. All registered parents and adult leaders must create an account. Here is where training courses in all areas of scouting can be found and where you can track your training, unit position status, Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT) status & expiration date.
Here you will find all the forms, applications, etc required in scouting. The policies adopted by the troop and the documents that will make scouting easier and stressfree

Uniforms and Handbooks can be purchased at the Miami Scout Shop. .
Troop 599 specific uniform items such as unit number, neckerchiefs, class-B shirts and troop swag can be purchased from our partners at R&L Printing.
The proper placement of uniform patches and insignia is important!
Adult Training
Adult Training
The better trained all adults and leaders are, the better the scouting experience is for all, especially the scouts! Some training is required for all adults interacting with the scouts regardless whether they are a leader or not, others are required for leaders, and many are optional but encourage for all.
Here are some samples, please explore the catalog and avail yourself of all the training.
Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT) - Required for all parents and adult leaders
Safe Swim Defense - Required to participate in swimming activities
Safety Afloat - Required to participate in paddle sports (canoeing, kayaking, etc)
All training can be accessed through your My.Scouting.org account.
Recognition of Leaders, Youth and Adults that support scouting and the scouting ideals by their actions, by training and by their positive actions are an important part of scouting. We must always take every opportunity to recognize those that make scouting possible.
